It’s been six years since the Mansion incident, since the contamination and sterilization of Raccoon City and all of its regions.

Within that time frame, many events followed up to the fall of Umbrella and the rebuilding of Raccoon City after all radioactive materials and virus residue were removed and destroyed under close supervision of the U.S. Government.

After all the affairs involving money, costs and planned operations… Raccoon City, my home, was returned to its former glory. And with a short but moving ceremony at the new city hall, the new residents washed their hands of the past.

My name is Officer Rebecca Chambers of the Raccoon City Police Department, Special Tactics and Rescue Squad or S.T.A.R.S.

On that day, I met the friends I thought I had lost… the friends I thought were long dead in the cleansing explosion that wiped out my home and family; only my tears were my comfort.

From the moment I saw Barry Burton, Chris Redfield and his sister Claire Redfield, Leon Kennedy with the President’s daughter Ashley Graham and… Jill Valentine, I knew things were going to change; how or what was going to be changed I didn’t know and for once… I didn’t care.

Hugs, kisses and laughs were the only thing that mattered to me that day, for once no one had to worry about Umbrella or zombies or plotting our next move against the evil corporation.

All of us had brought homes or apartments to live in… well, more everyone bought an rented home except for Barry and his family; who he was so over-joyed to see that he nearly broke his back swinging his kids around and… Leon and Ashley, who, I may add, are engaged and Ashley is pregnant. Claire still needs to tell me the story she calls ‘How Ashley Got Her Way’.

So, we all got our old jobs back, Leon and Claire were both promoted onto our S.T.A.R.S. unit and we now work as one single core.

Though… I still haven’t told them the secret that I harbour in my heart. You see, after Billy Coen, my beloved partner through the whole or-deal before the mansion… he had stolen part of me… and then after, David Trapp broke my heart. From that day I knew that something about me had switched around… and as soon as I saw Jill Valentine’s smiling face everything became clear.

She had been with me since the beginning, every since my first day… and from there everything pretty much took care of itself. I understood myself, how I craved to be the one to wake up every morning and be the one and only women to cook for her, to kiss her, to be the one she wants… for her to hold the key to my heart in the palm of her hand.

Of course by that point I sounded like a love-struck canary… but, I loved it… though, Jill never really noticed me. Well, I shouldn’t say that… she was always saying ‘Hi’ to me and helping me and hugging me; friend stuff.

But, I really wanted her to notice me in a bit more of a romantic way… so; this is where our story starts… ‘The Love Story of Jill Valentine and Rebecca (Valentine) Chambers’…

Or so I hoped…
