Love Never Loved Me By Momiro

“NOTHING FITS!” screamed Rebecca as she rummaged through her closet for clothing to wear on her date tonight.
“Everything is either too small or too big… why didn’t I go shopping!” she yelled, before standing up and looking at the mess that had
once been her room. On her bed, in a neat pile was some make up, a push up bra and a pair of underwear… but jeans, dresses and jackets
filled the rest of the bed.
She spun around and knelt down; still looking for an outfit… she was wearing her S.T.A.R.S. outfit from work since they had had field
training that day. Not to mention one of the most embarrassing days of her life… she had blushed so much that day that she had actually
had a nose bleed.
You see… that morning when she woke up, she had tripped and stubbed her toe, fell in the shower, didn’t dry her hair because she had
woken up late since her alarm clock’s batteries had died in the middle of the night (she had known that it was a bad thing to have a
battery operated clock, even if there was a black out and hers was reset) and when she got to work, slipped onto a coffee spill on the
floor and rammed head first into the wall.
Not only that, but during weapons training, which was a mandatory part of field training, had forgot to put the magazine into her gun
and when it was her turn to fire… nothing came out. It was just, so… so… so… ludicrously insane.
“Even my knight in shining armor, Jill, laughed at me. She is more like my knight in shiny tinfoil” she said, pouting and falling back
onto the floor, her eyes looking up to her teddy bear.
“Don’t give me that look” Rebecca snorted, wiggling her nose; “Just because I’ve been stressed out about the date for the entire day
doesn’t mean anything… nothing at all… nope… nadda…”.
Then, it finally hit the medic like a brick wall; ‘Okay, so, so maybe I am going a little over board about this. Maybe I should just
wear something nice, I mean Jill doesn’t expect me to the perfect… does she?’ though, before she could finish that thought… something
dark green and pretty hit her eyes.
---------------------------------------
“Idiot! I told you not to blink!” shouted Claire as she traced Jill’s eyes with a black stick of make up.
“Well it’s hard not blink when there is a pencil a millimeter away from my eye!” retorted the B&E specialist.
“You know, MS.Valentine, I’m about to take this stick and shove it right up your-”
“Ready!” shouted Ashley as she brought in a black dress and a pair of high heels. The dress had a midnight blue color to it and at the
bottom of it, the dress trailed off the right of the wears leg.
Claire smiled when she saw the dress, pushing what she was going to say out of her mind.
“Now, Claire, finish with the eyeliner and she can do her lipstick herself, then… we put on the dress, do a double check on Jill’s hair
and then she is off to the ball!” squealed the blonde.
“Guys… are you SURE Rebecca will like this? I mean, you two are both here helping me with this godforsaken practice while she is over
there all alone…”
“Oh Jill of little faith…” said Claire in a sing-song voice, “Rebecca knows how to actually do her make up… WITHOUT BLINKING! So, I’m
sure she is fine… in fact, she is probably ready by now”.
Ashley smiled, “Yup, T-minus 30 minutes before you need to go pick up the cutest medic on the S.T.A.R.S. Force”.
“… true, but she is the only medic on the S.T.A.R.S. Force” said Claire with an ‘I-know-everything’ expression and voice to match.
“Yes… but she is MY medic” growled Jill aggressively, “Now… CLAIRE, WILL YOU PLEASE FINISH WITH THE EYE STICK OF HELL!”
“IT’S NOT AN EYE STICK, IT’S CALLED EYELINER, YOU KNOW, L-I-N-E-R!”
---------------------------------------
“There…” Rebecca announced happily, looking at herself in the mirror.
She had on dark green lipstick and eye shadow to match, along with black eyeliner that perfectly matched the dress she had finally
found.
It was a silky, dark green dress that seemed to fit and look perfect. The back of it had a corset look and it had spaghetti straps. Not
to mention the black stiletto heels seemed to just feel so sexy. She then took the shale that came with the dress; which has bits of
sparkles sown into its clear, green material, and put it on. Though she felt sort of embarrassed since the hem only went down to her
upper-middle thigh.
She then turned her attention to her nails, which she has painted to be a mixed matched of black and dark green.
‘I hope Jill doesn’t mind the color…’ she thought, noticing that she WAS wearing a lot of dark green… but still, she thought it looked
good… why not Jill? “Maybe I should change…” she thought quickly, though in that split second… the door bell rang.
Rebecca’s breath hitched in her throat. If it wasn’t for the fact she had put on perfume and deodorant, she would have sweated up a
storm right there and then.
‘Jill…’ a thought said, echoing in her mind like ripples in a calm pond.
Then, the door bell rang again quickly which knocked the medic from her thoughts.
Quickly… well, as quickly as someone could run in stilettos, she ran downstairs and grabbed her keys, putting them into her black purse
which were both on the table by the door and Rebecca did one last hair check before opening the door.
---------------------------------------
‘Come on Beck…’ thought Jill happily while she rang the door bell, looking at her watch. They were right on time so far, though when the
B&E specialist heard the door opening her eyes shot forward… and she nearly gasped at the sight.
Rebecca stood there in the door… with the cutest look on her face, smiling in joy as her eyes twinkled like the stars above them. Not to
mention it showed how slender and curvy the medic’s body was… it astounded Jill that someone who had been through so much fighting… so
much pain… that she still looked as beautiful as the day she first saw her.
---------------------------------------
Rebecca’s eyes nearly popped out of her head when she saw Jill… she looked so… so… SEXY! The black dress suited her so well; it went
down to her knees and was cut up on the left side so that she could walk more easily. But the small robe that went around her waist, the
small part of the dress that trailed off to the right and the fact that it was strapless seemed so… so… well, perfect for the night.
She didn’t know why though, maybe it was just her mind working in its complicated way.
Quickly though, the medic smashed that thought in her mind when she looked straight into Ms. Valentine’s face. She was actually wearing
make up… and she knew that Jill wouldn’t wear make up for just anyone.
“Jill, you look so beautiful!” the medic squealed happily.
---------------------------------------
“Not half as good as you… your gorgeous!” cried the B&E specialist.
There was a moment of silence as they both admired each other, then… slowly they leaned in and kissed each other softly.
“Come on… let’s go, I have the –perfect- restaurant picked out” Jill said happily, smiling at Rebecca’s now blushing face.
The medic quickly straightened her dress fixed her hair one last time, then closed her door and locked it.
Swiftly, she took Jill’s hand in her’s; “Lead the way Romeo” she spoke sweetly.
---------------------------------------
By 6:30pm, they were at a small restaurant called ‘La Luna’ and when the two entered; they both looked around the Spanish-type
architecture and décor.
“My gosh… it’s so regal, thank you Jill!” she said hugging her one and only love.
The women laughed and hugged back, kissing Rebecca on the check as a reward for her cuteness.
Soon they were seated and Jill ordered some wine…
The B&E specialist chuckled, “You must be the only person in this world I know of who still says ‘Gosh’”.
Rebecca laughed, “Hey, leave it alone, I like the word” the medic bantered back playfully.
“So, are you enjoying the new Raccoon City, 2.0?”
“Yes… I am, but I’m enjoying it more because I finally got to see all of you guys again. I missed you all so much… especially you…
Jill”.
The women blushed, “We all missed you too… but when the outbreak happened”-she spoke in a low whisper-“all of us were split up… hell, I
was on my own for most of it” Jill finished with a sad look.
Rebecca nodded, “I tried to find you… but I didn’t reach anyone except for Barry when I first got back to the station.”
“Your wine…” said the waiter in what sounded like a Spanish accent as he put a small bucket of ice on the table was a wine bottle
sticking out and poured it out for the two women.
“Thank you” said Jill kindly.
“Anyways” Rebecca started, taking a sip of the wine when Jill did, trying to shoo away from the subject. She didn’t know why, but Jill
seemed uncomfortable taking about it. “Are you enjoying working back on the S.T.A.R.S. Force?”
Jill nodded quickly, “Yes, I missed it so much… not mention the office seems more lively with Claire and Leon there.”
The medic nodded, but before she could say something else, Jill shot a question at her; “So… you seemed kind of out of it today, why
was that?”
For the second time that night, Rebecca’s breath hitched in her voice and she coughed before taking a sip of the wine. “Umm… funny you
should mention that…” she said with a bit of a hoarse voice.
“Rebecca… are you okay?” asked Jill, looking worriedly at her.
“Jill, I was just, um-” but the medic was interrupted when there was a sudden crash and scream.
All eyes in the restaurant retreated to front the entrance of the restaurant as a man was onto of a waiter on the ground by the door.
The man was… biting and eating away at the man’s neck, blood and gore spilling out everywhere.
Immediately everything was quiet as it fed… everybody was stricken by terror…
---------------------------------------
Jill immediately flipped over Rebecca and her’s table so that they could use it as a shield and stood up, ripped off the right trail of
her dress to reveal a holster and her brand new S.T.A.R.S. HK45 was pointed straight at the zombie’s head.
There was the crash of metal being shot forth from the pistol and immediately the man that was over the other man rolled off him… dead.
Before anyone could say anything, Jill had taken charge.
“Everybody, don’t panic… get up and go against the wall, stay away from the windows and I’m going to go check the kitchen. While I do
that, I want you to listen to my partner, Rebecca, she will lead you in the city’s new biological outbreak procedure” and with that Jill
ran to the kitchen, slowly pushing the doors open and disappearing behind them.
---------------------------------------
When Jill was gone everybody had their eyes on Rebecca… and quickly, Rebecca took in a breath and gathered her thoughts.
“Okay, I want all of you to push your tables against the entrance doors and windows” she said, pulling out her cell phone.
“As of now this restaurant is going into lockdown, after you’ve done that, I want you to go sit against the wall and remove anything on
you that you don’t need, such as this” she said, taking she shale off and throwing it to her left. “You are going to need as much
maneuverability as possible.”
She looked over to see a woman in red begin to say something but Rebecca shot her a look, “And I don’t want to hear ‘but my dress or
suit is so expansive’, got it!?... Now go!”
Quickly, people began to barricade the doors and windows and soon Jill appeared again with all of the kitchen’s staff and a butcher
knife, which she gave Rebecca.
The staff followed in suit with the clients, barricading the area of the restaurant.
Rebecca quickly handed her phone to Jill, who speed dialed Barry’s number and quickly told him what had happened and to tell all the
S.T.A.R.S. members and police force to get ready and start with the city’s plan incase this every happened again.
The medic helped with the barricading, ‘How could this happen again… what’s going on? Life wasn’t suppose to be like this… why can’t
Umbrella just… just… just go away. By now she was pushing back tears, trying to seem strong as they finished up their work.
When Jill put down the phone she made sure her pistol was ready, “I can do this…” she told herself out loud before looking at Rebecca…
who looked so strong. “I have to protect Rebecca and myself... I can do it, I know I can, calm… cool… and collected”.
As the two S.T.A.R.S. members made the area secure, police were already forming due to Jill’s order.
They only hoped that this time they could handle the virus outbreak before it got major.
The fear that pulsed through everybody was hot as hell and cold as ice… once Jill and two of her closest friends had vowed to always
fight Umbrella, fight the sick and twisted corporation to the death.
A spark inside her seemed to ignite in her as she remembered that vow…
